As in, lab created, but a real diamond and high quality. Not a CZ.

yea of course like I said before the ring isn’t as important as what is symbolizes and if it is high quality than no one would even be able to tell

Absolutely!
I’d wear one before I wore a “real” mined diamond. I don’t need people to die for me to have a pretty ring, and I also don’t need my boyfriend to waste his money on an overpriced stone.
After all, it’s about what I like, not what other people like.

Yes, a ring is just a ring… LOVE is not measured in Carrots or Price.
I hope your poping the? to one special GAL!

As long as you and your significant other love it it doesn’t matter what it is. Real, fake, plastic, gold, its what it represents that matter.
My fiances parents buy simple cheap ones and replace them every couple years.
They work outside a lot and they tend to be hard on the rings, or theyll fall off in the river or something.
So they just go buy new ones, and dont feel bad for losing a big expensive one, and if their tastes change the ring can always be replaced.

Personally I would not. I certainly agree that the real or synthetic diamond doesn’t represent your relationship in any real way or measure how much you love one another, etc. However, it’s just my preference to have a real diamond.

I wouldn’t. For me, a diamond is a symbol and a non-natural diamond doesn’t carry the same meaning. Similarly, I would prefer natural gemstones. Even though nobody else could tell, I’d know and that’s the part that matters to me.
I’d rather have a smaller ‘real’ diamond than a larger synthetic diamond.
Now, that’s just me. Lots of people will think a synthetic diamond is fine and that’s OK with me.
EDIT: Interesting how the people who disagree with Kelsey and me find it necessary to give a thumbs down. Post your own response.

I DO have a synthetic stone. I didn’t see the point on wasting money on a ring, then to have something happen to it. It’s funny; I get compliments on it ALL the time and no one knows the difference!!!! My ring cost $180.00.

I wish more people wouldn’t *need* a diamond ring at all. For those of you who need the real thing, you realize the price is incredibly fake and inflated, right? The love it represents is often tainted because of the mining issues and social problems.
I would have been fine without a ring to begin with. I got a fancy diamond ring, but it’s a family heirloom, so no money was wasted and no diamonds were unjustly mined for my ring. And I told my fiance I did not even want diamonds, since I really love color. If he had bought me a ring, it would have been opal or amethyst. Or something just nice on my finger as a symbol.
A ring is pretty much a pretty symbol of engagement. And my fiance has a symbol as well (which is something he loves and I paid only $150…that’s right, I spent more on his ring than he did on mine, haha)

Abso-flipping-lutely! It is utterly irrlevant what your ring is made from, only the love of the man who gave it.

I believe what matters is you and your husband love each other, not whether your ring is real Diamond. Me and my husband bought this gorgeous CZ ring from . The price was great, the quality was unbeatable. and no one questioned if my ring was real. That’s one of the best decision we made together. We saved a great deal of money, and used it for our Hawaii honeymoon. Maybe I will have a real thing later on. but for now, a high quality CZ ring is good enough.

I don’t know maybe.

aboslutely if i can get something for less and still have people think its worth more then i will.

No one will know unless you tell them. You can get soemthing beautiful for a fraction of the price!
Engagement rings need not always contain diamonds. Popular trends include using gemstones as sidestones as well as other precious stones.
