I am in love with this ring. I showed it to my boyfriend as a style that I would like. I just want to know other peoples opinion.

Just an FYI, yes it is on e-bay but it is also on it’s own web site. It’s not an auction it’s a store. I’m just saying I like the style.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years. I would take a twist tie from him if thats what he wanted to give me. I’m not marrying the guy that can buy me this ring, I’m going to marry him b/c he is the love of my life. We are both adults and have good jobs. We can afford a ring such as this if we wanted.

I do think this is an expensive ring. I have a friend that is a jeweler and anything I like, we are going to have it made by him to assure we are getting our money worth.

They do have it in an ascher cut as well, very pretty.

Nice, not sure how it would fit with a wedding ring though.

you have some very expensive taste. are you marrying the ring or the man who gets you the ring? why don’t you let him decide.

Really nice but if you are looking for something on Ebay, check the pawn shops first! You can get great deals!

It is an absolutely gorgeous style and you will be a very luck girl if your boyfriend gets it for you. Although, I’d prefer it with an asscher cut or radiant cut stone or even a princess cut. The emerald cut doesn’t have as much sparkle!

Waaaayyy too expensive, and too ornate.

Not my style but it’s not bad.

I don´t know why you like this ring. To me it looks awful. Much to big. I prefer a less snobish ring - but that´s only my opinion.

The style is nice but the price is crap. You don’t have to buy something extremely expensive as a symbol of love or togetherness. Just buy a nice, similar style with affordable price.

I have a 3 ctw ring with a cushion cut center (not an emerald)… other than the center stone, it’s almost exactly the same. I get compliments all the time and people are always telling me that it’s unique and pretty. I had mine custom made a couple years ago since at the time I could not find this style in stores. Now they seem to be gaining popularity and are more easily available. I love it, and I think you would love the style, too. Very classic and pretty with a unique twist! And since I had mine custom made I was able to have the center stone set so that the wedding bands fit under the stone and were flush against the engagement ring (I got 2 diamond bands, one for each side, and they are the exact same size and look as the engagement ring’s band… this ring looks amazing with that, btw)

Good luck.

Way to gaudy for me, but if you like it that’s all that matters.

I don’t like it; it’s not my style at all! I think “ostentatious” is the perfect word for it, Jez A!

My ring is a .75 carat heart shaped solitaire set in yellow gold. It’s of outstanding quality and unusual. I hate how everyone falls onto the bandwagon of engagement rings year after year. So many rings look so similar to each other. I love that my ring is different. It’s also exactly what I wanted.

I guess if that’s what you really want, then go for it!

I like it. However, I would try and find it from a reputable jeweler.

I am a jeweler, have an understated taste, and do have an emerald shape engagement ring solitaire set, of similar size. This isn’t ostentacious at all, anybody saying so has no idea what they are reading the dimensions of 6.01×4.94×3.39 is hardly too large. Mine is .89ct E/VVS2 with dimensions of 6.77×5.02×2.97 and cost 4000.

What I like about it, the pave diamonds match the centerstone in color and clarity.

Its an excellent cut, excellent polish, and very good symmetry (same as mine)

The inclusions are clouds, feathers, and crystals, no carbon

the table is 65 percent (that’s very good, mine is 68)

no culet

no fluorescence

colorless F

the price

GIA certification

my concerns
the very thick girdle this detracts from the value (mine is medium)
the depth 68.6 on the deep side (mine is 58.5)
the shank is only 2.1mm
its hard to size an eternity cut setting down the road should your hands change size
the length to width ratio 1.23:1 (ideal is 1.30-1.40:1 mine is 1.33) but this is largely preference, it will be more square shape than rectangular
the clarity, is only eyeclean SI1 which isn’t recommended for a step cut, minimum specs of VS2 or higher recommended

All in all its pretty great, I love an asscher too. Most people who love the emerald also love the asscher

I’ve got no qualms of buying from a reputable seller a diamond accompanied by a GIA cert

the other one on the site is slightly different, I/VS2, 1.30 ct this one is no go. The plotting of inclusions shows a crystal right on the table, the depth is far too deep at 75.4, symmetry is only good, thick to very thick girdle dimensions of 6.91×5.09×3.84 you are mostly paying for that depth, not worth the price

It’s really pretty. I have a ring like that. Not an engagement ring, just a ring my parents gave me that looks similiar.

I think the ring is very pretty! I love the band part of it!

I’m not a fan of that cut, but if you are, good. Too hard to match a wedding band with, as well.
I suggest you let him know you want an emerald cut, then let him choose one according to his budget. Twist tie, my foot…. lol

Engagement rings need not always contain diamonds. Popular trends include using gemstones as sidestones as well as other precious stones.
