Would you be mad if your engagement ring turned out NOT to be a diamond?

My fiancee’s Mom, sister and I were hanging out when the sister accidently let it slip that my engagement ring is technically not a real diamond — it’s a moissanite stone.

I looked it up on the internet and basically moissanite looks like a diamond. here’s a pic: http://www.moissanite.com/

I took it to Kay Jewelers and they confirmed this. I love my ring, but feel weird about fiancee not mentioning it.

Should I tell him I know? Or just feign ignorance? Would you be mad if you were me or just keep loving the ring?

I think the diamond should be around 0.75 carat in size. However, my friend at work is getting his fiancee-to-be a diamond sized 0.25..I think she’ll be disappointed. What do you think is a good sized diamond?

Engagement rings need not always contain diamonds. Popular trends include using gemstones as sidestones as well as other precious stones.
