A few months later the ring began to fade, and to my astonishment the ring was yellow gold. I was told by the seller that the ring was pure white gold. Do I have a right to return the ring and get my money back?

I have a .5 carat (appx) emerald cut, yellow gold solitare diamond engagement ring I want to sell, but am not sure what is reasonable to ask for it. It has been worn, but is not damaged.
It was purchased at Helzberg Diamonds, and I believe it was about $1500 originally.
